DESCRIPTION:Most of us say we want love\, connection\, and intimacy. But wh
 at happens when someone actually gets close enough to offer it?\n\nFor man
 y gay men\, letting love in can feel surprisingly vulnerable. Past rejecti
 on\, shame\, heartbreak\, abandonment\, or simply years of learning to pro
 tect ourselves can make it difficult to trust that love is safe\, that we 
 are worthy of receiving it\, or that we don't have to earn it.\n\nIn this 
 connection circle\, we'll explore what gets in the way of receiving love a
 nd allowing ourselves to be truly seen. We'll look at the ways we protect 
 ourselves\, the stories we carry about being loved\, and what it might mea
 n to soften those defenses without abandoning our boundaries or discernmen
 t.\n\nThis is an opportunity to explore not just how to find love\, but ho
 w to become more available to receiving it.\nOverview\nGay Men’s Brother
 hood Connection Circles are for gay men wanting a safe place to converse a
 nd share personal experiences. Connect directly with other members of the 
 community in a small\, intimate virtual setting.\n\nThe Connection Circles
  will foster conversation\, collaboration and support from your fellow b
 rothers. Our intention for this offering is to create a safe space where w
 e can get to know one another more intimately and alleviate the loneliness
  and disconnection we see so much in ourselves and our community.\n\nHere'
 s how the connection circles will work:\n\nWe will gather in one large gro
 up and the facilitator will review ground rules and offer a topic with som
 e discussion questions. We will then break off into small pods of 3 where 
 you can share personal experiences\, insights\, ask questions\, or provide
  support to others - just like we do on the Gay Men Going Deeper podcast!
 \n\nThis is perfect for those of you who are too shy to speak up in the la
 rge groups during our sharing circles. Smaller groups allow for people to 
 take the time to get to know one another where friendships can form. This 
 is also a great opportunity to connect with people that you might not oth
 erwise connect with because the pods will be assigned randomly.\n\nUnlike
  our Sharing Circles\, there is an expectation to share at this event in t
